Creating Python Scripts using ArcPy inside of ArcMap
ArcPy is a module that is contained with ArcMap and can be used to program features in ArcMap. You must first turn the Python Window on before you can create code. ArcPy module does not need to be loaded if you are working inside of ArcMap, but if you are creating your code with and IDE then you will need to load the ArcPy module before you can execute any of the functionality, this is load with your Python Script.
In prior lesson you learned some of the basic functionality of the ArcPy Module and in this assignment you will be using the knowledge previously gained on a more open ended concept.
Make sure that you save your script and make comments through out the document describing what you are doing inside the script.

- In this assignment you will create a map layout to put all components on the map properly using ArcMap and then you will automate the process so that each demographic layer for the community can be changed simply by changing a few items from the script and no need to do the layer multiple times.
- Once the demographical layers for community are completed you will do the same for a completely unique community without loading any of the layers.
- Make sure you save your code.
- Provide your instructor with the code used in Part 1 & 2.
